Matthew Johnsen is the leader of the ensemble Master Singers To Go. He received undergraduate training in music at Dartmouth College and in Vienna, Austria. He has been an organist in churches in Massachusetts, North Carolina and Maryland, and currently serves as the Director of Music at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Worcester. He has sung with the Raleigh Oratorio Society, Columbia Pro Cantare, and locally with Central Mass Onstage. He studied voice, with Edna Tilander, and conducting in a master class with Dale Warland.

He is a member of the Master Singers of Worcester and an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at University of Massachusetts Medical School.
