Our Mission Statement: The Worcester Children’s Chorus enriches the lives of children throughout Worcester County by providing a quality musical experience through training in choral singing.

The Worcester Children’s Chorus is open to all children and youth with treble voices, regardless of religion or ethnicity. The repertoire will represent many cultures, ethnic groups, time periods and faiths, and include both secular and sacred music, extending from early music to very modern and contemporary music. Singers will be trained in excellent tone production, correct breathing, singing techniques, diction and musical literacy skills. The choral experience provides youth and children with an outstanding opportunity to learn about the values of working together as a team towards a common goal, making close friends along the way. Almost all of the repertoire will be learned from memory. Interaction with other cultural and community groups in central Massachusetts will be encouraged and the chorus will participate in special events including vocal workshops and choir camps, with tours being planned as the chorus grows and develops in the years to come.

The Worcester Children’s Chorus strives to work in partnership with other area school and religious institutional children’s choruses to provide children additional experience and training in choral singing, thereby preparing them to be stronger leaders for their “home” choral organizations.

The Worcester Children’s Chorus is made possible through support of The Master Singers of Worcester, Inc.,
a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which has been bringing great choral music to the Worcester area for more than 30 years.
